Minutes of the Hykeham Planning Committee meeting 06.21 held at the Civic Offices, Fen Lane on Tuesday 20th July 2021 at 7.00pm

Councillors Present: CR Jackling (Chairman)(NH), K Sampson(NH), N Tully(NH), P Whittaker(SH), D Rowson (SH)

In Attendance: Mrs R Brown – Deputy Clerk

Apologies had been received from the Chair and Vice Chair, so a nomination was sought from the Committee.

It was RESOLVED that Cllr Jackling be appointed Chairman for this meeting.

6.1 Apologies for absence and acceptance of reasons given

It was RESOLVED to accept Apologies for Absence and reasons given from Cllrs Sellars(NH) and Driffill (SH)

6.2 Receipt of any Declaration of Members’ Interests under the Localism Act 2011

There were none at this time

6.3 Notes of the Committee meeting held on 6th July 2021 be approved as a true record of Minutes

It was RESOLVED to accept the Notes of the Hykeham Planning Committee meeting held on 6th July 2021 as a true record of Minutes.

6.4 Chairman’s items

Cllr Jackling was pleased to be back at the Committee after the recent restrictions.

6.5 To consider the following:

Planning Applications:

21/0884 Land at rear of 32 & 34 Station Road – Erection of 2no detached dwellings with car parking, associated external works and alternative access via private drive onto Station Road

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application, although they noted that the ground floor plans were missing.

21/0815 30 Conway Drive – Proposed new garage and erection of a rear extension

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application.

21/0901 Cedar Croft, 30 Broadway – Proposed single storey rear extension and new front porch

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application.

21/0921 Land North of Whisby Road – Erection of 4.7m high entrance totem directory signage for approved commercial units

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application.

21/1018 17 Meadow Lane – Erection of garden room to rear elevation & extension to garage on side elevation

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application.

21/0727 21 Dore Avenue – Demolition of an existing conservatory and erection of a rear single storey extension

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application.

LCC Reference : PL/0027/21 North Hykeham Landfill Site, Whisby Road – for the installation of a wheel wash to remove debris/dirt from vehicles prior to them joining the highways.

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application.

TPOs

21/1035/TPO 15 Cornflower Way – T1 Oak – fell; T2 Oak – crown lift to 4m

It was RESOLVED that the Committee could not agree to this until the tree officer’s report is received

21/0929/TPO 482 Newark Road – Oak (T1) – remove dead wood, reduce height by 8m and reduce lateral canopy on road side by 5m to balance fallen bough on house side; Oak (T2) – lift crown from 4m to 5m.

It was RESOLVED that the Committee had no objections to this application

21/0718/TPO 45 Ascot Way – T1/T3 Oak – Fell

It was RESOLVED that the Committee could not agree to this until the tree officer’s report is received

6.6 Decisions received and correspondence

21/0245 – The Grange, 2 Wath Lane, SH – Conversion of annexed to separate residential dwelling. – APPROVED

6.7 Neighbourhood plan issues (standing item)

The Chairman noted that a very informative newsletter had been produced by LALC with information from other Councils regarding the experience of creating a Neighbourhood Plan
