SOUTH HYKEHAM PARISH COUNCIL
The January meeting of South Hykeham Parish Council will take place on Wednesday 8th January 2025 7pm at South Hykeham Community Primary School, Wath Lane, S Hykeham
There will be a 15 minute public forum between 7.00pm and 7.15pm when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council. If there are no members of the public present the Council meeting will commence promptly at 7.00pm.
AGENDA
1. To receive apologies for absence and to resolve to accept the reasons given.
2. To resolve to receive any declaration of Interests in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and to consider member’s written dispensation requests.
3. To receive County/District Councillors written reports.
4. Hykeham Joint Neighbourhood Plan update.
5. To resolve to adopt the clerk’s notes of 11th September 2024, 9th October, 13th November and 11th December 2024 as the minutes of those meetings.
6. Finance
a) To resolve to approve the payment of accounts for December 2024/January 2025.
b) To resolve to renew the annual subscription for LALC training scheme 2024/2025.
c) To resolve to renew the annual subscription for membership of LALC.
d) To receive the budget report up to 31st December 2024.
e) To resolve to approve the Budget 2025/2026.
7. Precept 2025/26.
a) Letter from NKDC re: Town and Parish Precept setting.
b) To resolve to set the precept for 2025/26.
8. Removal/replacement of Bus Shelter at Thorpe Lane & installation of Memorial benches
a) To consider the quotes for the demolition & site clearance of the bus shelter at Thorpe Lane, Newark Rd.
b) To consider the quotes for a replacement bus shelter.
c) To consider the quotes for the installation of plinths for the Memorial benches at Newark Road near Thorpe Lane and Meadow Lane South Hykeham.
9. Annual Parish Meeting Weds 9th April 2025 6.30pm.
a)To confirm the housekeeping arrangements for the Annual Parish meeting.
b) To confirm the guest speakers and invited guest list for the Annual Parish meeting.
c) To confirm the arrangements for the Community Awards.
10. Litterpicking – To confirm the date and arrangements for the litterpicking event to coincide with the Great British Spring Clean event.
11. Highways matters :-
a) Speed Indicator Device report from Cllr Roe.
b) Outstanding/new highways faults requiring urgent attention.
12. Planning matters
a) To consider LCC/NKDC planning applications received and respond by deadline.
b) To receive LCC/NKDC Planning Decisions
13. Report from meeting of 10 Year Strategy Working Party this evening.
14. To approve Councillor/Clerk’s training nominations.
