The Parish Council is pleased to announce the successful recipients of the Parish Council Community Awards. The Community Award has been awarded to Ms Connie Mumby for many years of unstinting commitment to South Hykeham Village life. Without Connie's dedicated efforts to enhance the wellbeing of parishioners, the community would not have enjoyed many of the activities and amenities that she has helped to facilitate through her service as a Parish Councillor, school governor, PCC and Church Warden etc. The Parish Council Achievement Award has been awarded to Harry Talbot who was nominated for his exceptional commitment and dedication to developing his skills in dance and for all of the many achievements he has attained through hard work, motivation and outstanding talent for dance and choreography. The Council also recognises his contribution in mentoring some of the younger pupils at his school and helping them to develop their skills in urban dance and in inspiring and being a positive role model for them. The successful recipients of the awards will be presented with a shield to be engraved with the recipient’s name and to be held for the duration of one year. The awards presentation will take place at the Annual Parish Meeting which is to be rearranged due to the COVID-19 outbreak. It was due to be held on 8th April 2020 but that date has had to be cancelled along with all Parish Council scheduled meetings up to and including June 10th 2020. The rearranged date for future meetings including the Annual Parish meeting will be published on the village noticeboards and on the website. Council apologises for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by the cancellation of the presentation ceremony
