Age UK Lincoln and South Lincolnshire are offering FREE home energy checks for people over 50yrs; this service is bespoke to each customer.
They offer support to those who need help with energy suppliers, meter readings, grants for new boilers and insulation, and referrals for extra incomes, via age UK free benefit checks. They also carry out complaints for any concerns, overcharging, misreading of meters, and request customers be treated fairly and responsibly by energy providers.
They can install free energy saving devices, such as remote-controlled sockets, timers, night lights, LED energy saving light bulbs, door draught excluders and radiator foils. They also offer FREE TRVs, (Thermostatic radiator valves,) these are self-regulating gauges for individual radiators, which would normally cost over £100 to fit.
They can provide free calls, home visits, emails and would be very happy to take referrals from anyone who is struggling with their home energy and would benefit from this assistance. AgeUK understands fully, that most information is online and not a lot of people know what they're entitled to, so they empower customers to take charge of their home energy and any other concerns they may have about life in general.
