South Hykeham Parish Council
The September Parish Council meeting will take place on Wednesday 10th September 2025. There will be a 15 minute public forum prior to the Council meeting when members of the public may address the Council about matters that are of concern to them.
Meetings usually take place on the second Wednesday of the month and members of the are public are welcome to attend. There is no full Parish Council meeting during August.
Agendas are published on the village noticeboards and the Parish Council website. Copies may be obtained by contacting the Parish Clerk on Tel: 07762 318013 or by downloading from the website.

Fix my Street:- To report or review local street problems go to:- https://fixmystreet.lincolnshire.gov.uk
Enter a Lincolnshire postcode, street name and area, or check an existing report number. Locate the problem on a map of the area. Enter details of the problem and confirm the report. Photographic evidence may be uploaded to the report to assist with the investigations that will follow.
Parish Councillor co-option
The vacancy that arose for a new Councillor for the Parish Council has now been filled by Cllr Bruce Wakeling who was co-opted to the Parish Council at the July meeting. There are currently no vacancies.
Trees and overhanging vegetation
There have been a number of complaints about overhanging trees which are causing problems for passersby and in some cases are restricting the view of traffic at road junctions.
A polite reminder to carry out routine maintenance to remove any potential hazards please.
Memorial benches
The Memorial benches are now installed in South Hykeham and are already well used.
The Elizabeth II bench is on Meadow Lane facing St Michael and All Angels Church and the King Charles III bench is on Newark Road, near the junction with Thorpe Lane.
South Hykeham Fun Dog Show
The annual Fun Dog Show is taking place at Meadow Lane South Hykeham on Sunday 10th August 2025 opening at 12 noon.
Judging starts at 1pm.
Refreshments, stalls and tombola.
