At the South Hykeham Annual Parish meeting of 9th April 2025 the Annual Community Awards 2025 were presented to the stalwarts of our South Hykeham voluntary litterpicks which take place on the second Saturday of alternate months (the next one is 14th June 2025)
The Achievement Award was presented to George Tempest as a very deserving recipient who had been nominated for his cheerfulness and willingness to take part in the litterpicks in order to keep his community a clean and pleasant environment to live in. George was accompanied by his invited guests who often accompany him at the litterpicks.
The Community Award was presented to the volunteer litterpicking team from McDonalds, Gateway Park, South Hykeham who were nominated for their dedication to helping with the voluntary litterpicks and being instrumental in keeping South Hykeham a desirable place to live and work.
Cllr Pamela Whittaker the Parish Council Chairman was delighted to present the awards to the very deserving recipients along with a framed certificate and a gift token.
