Planned review of North and South Hykeham Joint Neighbourhood Plan
The plan was adopted by North Kesteven District Council in 2018 and following the adoption of the new Local Plan Adopted Local Plan 2023 | Central Lincolnshire Local Plan (n-kesteven.gov.uk) it was unanimously agreed at the September Parish Council meeting that the Neighbourhood Plan should be reviewed in order to ensure it is consistent with local and national planning policy. Council felt that was particularly important with the future major developments including the Hykeham Relief Road and the development of Grange Farm where around 2000 new dwellings are proposed in this locality. The NP covers local matters such as housing, protection of green spaces, the environment and historical features all of which are important considerations when there are planning developments coming forward which may impact upon the local community and the surrounding area.
South Hykeham Parish Council is keen to form a working party involving interested parishioners and other stakeholders to be involved in the joint review which will be led by South Hykeham Parish Council and North Hykeham Town Council.
To express an interest in joining the working party or to find out more about how you can be involved please contact the Clerk for information on forthcoming meetings and consultation events.
